Neural Networks - a Brief Introduction

报告人：Helle Mikko Ilmari，现芬兰阿尔托大学副教授，先后在芬兰爱博学术大学攻读硕士学位和博士学位，精通芬兰语，瑞典语和英语。长期从事神经网络和遗传算法的理论和制造业的应用，生物量（biomass）在制造业的应用，制造业大数据应用等研究并取得了丰硕的科研和应用成果。先后在《Journal of Cleaner Energy》，《ISIJ international》，《Biomass and Bioenergy》和《Chemical Engineering and Processing》等国际知名冶金期刊上发表过大量论文。所在团队每年从芬兰科学院，芬兰国家创新局，欧盟（RFCS）拿到5-7个项目，每年有200万欧元的科研经费。

The theoretical background of the networks is first presented, followed by an overview of the most common network architectures and training methods. The principles of operation of the networks are demonstrated with small examples, and some fields of applications are reported.
